This was the last family dinner we hosted last year in October. It was pouring rain. We all squished into our little house and ate a fall harvest made from Charles homemade sausages, homemade pumpkin soup, homemade cheese bread, salad, (grilled cheese for the kids), and homemade molasses cake for dessert.
That evening, the Giants were playing (and gosh don't ask me which game it was...it was either the playoffs or the World Series...regardless they won that game!). Grandma and Grandpa were prepared and brought the girls the appropriate Giants gear to wear. To this day, Charles says that the girls' team spirit is what caused them to win the game.
My "little girl" Jordan and her sister Savannah came, along with Charles' niece and nephew, and Charles' brother and their family. My aunt and uncle were there too.
