There is a house with two babies
They call the "half-done house"
It used to be the cleanest house
Before the babies came
We had a plan to start our chores
And when they're halfway done
The babies cry; you no longer try
To think that you have won
The dishes stare; your underwear
Is scattered here and there
The toilet's clean; the sink is not
The bathtub is gangreen.

It's funny how quickly you adapt. Before I used to do my chores like
loading and unloading the dishwasher and taking out the trash on a
daily or as needed basis. But the main vacuuming, dusting, cat litter
and laundry would occur on the weekends. I would wash the entire
house, say, on Saturday and clean the bathrooms and mop the kitchen.
Now I only have "free time" in two hour increments so I've had to take
a different approach. In the morning block, I clean the babies room
(take out diaper trash, change sheets and pads if they are dirty, and
start a load of baby laundry). After that, I pick one chore/room to be
done for the house and tackle that as best I can. As the song above
illustrates, the chores are often half-done so for example, the rest
of the bathroom will be put on tomorrow mornings schedule.
Gotta be flexible!!

Yikes!
I find I do very little cleaning - but I do make lots of messes!
What's my excuse?? LOL
You are doing such a great job as a new mom, Amy! Charles too! He is so gentle! You should be so proud of yourself, you are such a natural. You have such a soothing warm heart, and an amazing motherly instinct that will prevail through all those seemingly tough times. Enjoying your pictures and stories. Happy Mother's Day! xoxo Kristy

You both are on top of what is important.....those girls!
Can't wait to see you all again.
