Hospital Tour

Charles and I took a tour of the Queen of the Valley hospital this weekend. We got to see the labor room, a recovery room, the baby room, and the NICU.

I am always keeping it in the back of my mind that the babies could end up in the NICU due to being twins and them possibly coming early. I am tyring to keep them in as long as I can, but sometimes these things are out of my control!

But I was very enheartened by the new maternity ward! Not only do they have the newest security features (alarm systems, bracelets for moms and dads), but the labor rooms are HUGE with a rocking chair, exercise ball, and extra chairs. The recovery room has a full bathroom with a shower, cribs for the babies, television, and a couch that folds out to a bed so that Charles can stay with me and the babies overnight.

The nursing staff seems very experienced and they hospital, very organized. YAY!

How fun that you got to see it in advance. Very cool.
